Days of August
“From the sparkling banjo introduction to Lost and I’ll Never Find the Way, through the sentimental closer August in the Sun, this self-described "post-modern string band" has put together a coherent and infectious set of tunes for its second CD. The overall sound is defined by the band’s strong harmonies, inventive picking, and enviable sense of timing." --- Bluegrass Breakdown

Sensible Music was nominated for "Recording of the Year" by the Massachusetts Country Music Awards Association in '98.

According to CDNOW, people who bought "Sensible Music..." are into wildly eclectic stuff: 17th century organ music, contemporary Greek composer Terzakis, a techno-funk group, "dark" folk-pop with lyrics about "emotional wreckage" and public television's romantic stringmeister Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra! We think Bob Wills would have liked Rieu, but Bill Monroe was known to prefer Ray Charles on any available jukebox.
